Retailers needed a frictionless loyalty check-in system that worked without requiring customers to open apps or scan QR codes. Traditional beacon-based solutions required expensive hardware installations.

Developed a mobile loyalty application using ultrasound-based auto check-ins. Created a proprietary transmitter system and used MATLAB to design filters for processing ultrasound signals, mitigating noise and acoustic reflections. The app automatically detected when customers entered participating stores.
